1. Introduction
Our website, https://startupawards.lv/ (hereinafter: “the website”), does not use cookies, web beacons or tracking scripts, and no third parties place cookies through it. In the document below we explain the one setting the website keeps in your browser and what happens when you follow a link to another website.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small simple file that is sent along with pages of a website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or another device. The information stored therein may be returned to the website’s servers or to the servers of the relevant third parties during a subsequent visit.
3. What are scripts?
A script is a piece of program code that is used to make a website function properly and interactively. The scripts of this website run on your device to play the opening animation and the page’s motion and to draw the QR code. They do not send information about you anywhere.
4. What is a web beacon?
A web beacon (or a pixel tag) is a small, invisible piece of text or image on a website that is used to monitor traffic on a website. This website does not use web beacons.
5. What this website stores
The website sets no cookies. It keeps one entry in your browser’s session storage:

This entry only makes the page work as you requested, so it does not need your consent. Fonts, images and video are served by the website itself, and no content from other websites is embedded. If you also use Startin.LV’s separate Policy Radar service at the same address, your browser keeps that service’s own sign-in cookie; these pages do not read or use it.
6. Links to other websites
Event registration (Luma), the nomination forms (Zoho Forms) and our social media pages are on other websites, which have their own cookie policies. Nothing loads from them until you follow a link.
7. Consent
Because the website uses no cookies that require consent, it does not show a cookie banner. You can disable cookies and site storage via your browser, but please note that some websites may no longer work properly.
8. Enabling/disabling and deleting cookies
